24 Hour Home Care is offering a virtual training to become a caregiver by completing our very own Caregiver Academy! We are looking for individuals that compassionate and dedicated to helping others in the following locations: Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Agoura Hills, and Moorpark

 

Our training program was designed for individuals who have a passion for caregiving but have little to no professional experience. If you are looking for a new career in caregiving and have a passion for helping others, this opportunity is for you. 

 

 

Caregiver Academy Training: will provide you with extensive training on the following topics:

 

  • Caregiving Basics
  • What it means to be a professional Caregiver
  • Light housekeeping techniques
  • Assisting with personal care through ADLS
  • Assisting with Bathing
  • Assisting with Independent Living through IADLs
  • Overview of transfers and mobility 


Summary: 
After completing the program, you will be trained to be an effective caregiver in the growing home care industry. You will also be eligible to interview for a Caregiver position with 24 HOUR HOME CARE®. Our Company looks for committed individuals who have great communication skills and the ability to quickly problem-solve.

 

Caregivers also may work flexible schedules of their choice. Our shifts are available Monday through Sunday ranging from 4-12 hours long.  These shifts can occur during the morning, day, evenings or overnight.

Responsibilities

Duties:
Our Caregivers provide a wide range of non-medical services to ensure clients overall wellness which includes, but is not limited to: light housekeeping, laundry, transportation, meal preparation, medication reminders, transferring, feeding, dressing, and range of motion exercises. As well as personal care including: toileting, incontinence care, bathing, oral care, and grooming. 

Caregiver Responsibilities:
 
• Arrive to and from assigned shift on time and properly document all shifts worked
• Appropriately report any changes to client's mental/physical health or home environment immediately
• Maintain proper documentation pertaining to client health and follow specific instructions pertaining to client health and other duties assigned
• Comply with rules and regulations pertaining to client health information, specifically HIPAA's policies and procedures
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of 24 Hour Home Care
• Promote positive, supportive, and respectful communication to client/family and 24 Hour Home Care staff

Qualifications

Requirements: 
• Complete Caregiver Academy to gain necessary skills
• Have a great attitude and passion for helping others
• Two forms of ID compliant with I-9 requirements

• Proof of negative TB test - If you need it, we'll cover the cost to get it completed! 
• Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) - If not registered, we'll assist you with the process and cover associated costs!
